A Bad Sprain

I feel so incredibly talented. I managed to sprain my right wrist while in bed sleeping.  It’s only 4:00 a.m. but I feel that I should declare that today is over before anything else happens to me.  Right now I am icing my wrist to take down the swelling.  I know it’s not broken because I have the full range of motion in my hand and wrist. Also there is no bruising. It does however hurt like #@&$@#%.

Today is my busy day of the month with one guild meeting in the morning and one after lunch.  It’s my absolute favorite day of the month. All I can think about right now is if I am safe around people. What else is going to happen. Let’s face it, when I sprain my wrist while sleeping what else is going to happen today?

I think I will sit here on the couch and finish icing my wrist.  Then take a nap. After my nap I will decide whether to couch potato it or leave John at home and go on with my regularly scheduled day.  I will post an update later today when the decision has been made.

Not Recommended

Tonight I tripped on one of my spinning wheels and banged up my left hand.  I hit the woolly winder pretty hard. I was just trying to get a few shuttle’s for the loom.  I have them tucked in a back corner. I am doing a random pattern scarf to empty the shuttle’s. This will go to the kids clothing bank when finished. A few hours later except for the small bruise my hand looks and feels fine.

I will check out the spinning wheel tomorrow.

Knitting and More

Eric is still sick and tommrow is up in the air.  He is currently running a fever. I am hoping that Eric's fever breaks tonight and that he feels better tomorrow. I on the other hand feel much better.  My back is finally starting  to feel better after the December accident. I guess everything gets better In its own time.

On the knitting front my new design is coming out much better than I hoped.  It has a lot of body and swish. I am really loving the Dream in Color Marino Cashmere blend. I also got 8 more inches knit today. This might just be the pattern that will be given at the March Old Pueblo Knitters luncheon and fashion show. I will include a link when the web site is updated.  My plan is to add the second skein of yarn tomorrow. Don't worry this pattern will be suitable for a beginning knitting project.
